Jacob Batalon Gets Engaged in Romantic New York City Proposal
Jacob Batalon is officially engaged!
The Spider-Man: Far From Home actor, 28, proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Veronica Leahov, in a beautifully romantic setting in New York City. The couple shared their happy news on Instagram on March 5, posting heartwarming photos from the special moment.
In the first image of Batalon’s Instagram carousel, he can be seen down on one knee, as Leahov, visibly surprised, covers her mouth in excitement. “The beginning of the rest of our lives together❤️🔥♾️🔐👸🏼👩🏼❤️👨🏽🤞🏽🌎,” Batalon captioned the post.
The proposal featured a heart-shaped arch made of roses, white candles, and the stunning city skyline as a backdrop. Leahov, an architectural designer, was seen embracing her fiancé in subsequent images, proudly showing off her sparkling new diamond ring.
Leahov also took to her Instagram Stories to share her excitement, posting a video of the engagement ring as the couple toasted with champagne. “I’m still dreaming,” she wrote, later adding, “This next chapter is already my favorite.”
Their engagement comes just two months after sources confirmed that Batalon’s Spider-Man co-stars Tom Holland and Zendaya also got engaged over the holidays.
Batalon, who has maintained a close friendship with Holland since they first met on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2017, previously spoke about their bond. In a 2021 interview with PEOPLE, he recalled how their director, Jon Watts, encouraged them to become best friends—something that happened naturally.
“We immediately hit it off,” Batalon shared. Holland added that the two became so close that they even lived together while filming in Atlanta. “I have a scrapbook of Polaroids of us just living in that house and what we got up to. God forbid that scrapbook ever gets out!”
While Holland and Zendaya’s engagement was reportedly a long time coming, with sources stating Holland “always knew she was the one,” Batalon’s romantic proposal has also delighted fans.
The engagement news arrives ahead of the release of Batalon’s latest film, Novocaine, starring Jack Quaid, which is set to premiere on March 14.
