The reason? Shoulder injury remains an issue
Yamamoto has recently been sidelined with shoulder inflammation – an injury that has put him on the IL list and caused him to miss several important games for the Dodgers. Although the initial expectation was that he could recover in time to participate in the All-Star Game, according to the latest confirmation, the team and organizers decided to withdraw him from the event to avoid risks.

“The health of the players is our top priority. We respect the Dodgers and Yamamoto’s decision,” an MLB representative said.

Hunter Greene – A golden opportunity from the shadows
Greene, who is having a solid season with the Reds, was immediately called up to replace him. He possesses outstanding speed and has recorded 106 strikeouts in just 96 innings. This is the first time in his career he has been honored at the All-Star Game.

“I didn’t expect this, but I’m ready. This is a dream come true,” Greene said emotionally after hearing the news.

How did MLB Fans react?
The online community was clearly divided. One side expressed regret that Yamamoto could not play in the prestigious event. The other side was excited that a talent like Greene had the opportunity to shine on the big stage.

Yamamoto – From All-Star Hope to Long-Term Question
Signed by the Dodgers to a record 12-year, $325 million contract, Yamamoto is the face of the Japanese wave of MLB conquest. However, persistent injuries are raising concerns: Will he be fit enough to carry the long-term expectations?
