Stealthy Leopard Strikes with Lightning Speed to Capture its Quarry in an Instant

October 19, 2023 by Pham Hien

This video was accidentally recorded by Mr. Johan Cronje while visiting Kgalagadi Transfrontier National Park in southern Africa. The leopard had an excellent stalking display when taking advantage of the high ground on the roadside and the big tree to avoid the sight of the impala.

At this time, the antelope also discovered the jaguar nearby, the two looked at each other for a while, but the antelope still calmly ate grass without running away.

After the leopard has approached its prey, it hides behind a tree for a suitable time to attack.

immediately the jaguar pounced on its prey, the antelope was too late to run away from the leopard, the leopard had already pounced on the prey lying dormant in the grass.
