Prosecutors have accused Sean “Diddy” Combs of witness tampering, alleging that his employees attempted to ensure that his ex-girlfriend, Cassie, and hotel staff remained silent about an incident involving a beating at a Los Angeles hotel eight years ago.
During a recent hearing, it was revealed that video footage capturing the assault—where Combs is seen kicking and stomping on Cassie at the InterContinental Hotel in 2016—mysteriously disappeared from the hotel’s server, according to prosecutors. CNN later obtained and published the video of the incident.
In light of the allegations, Combs publicly apologized for his actions, labeling his behavior as “inexcusable.” This incident was part of a lawsuit filed by Cassie last year.
Prosecutors also indicated that they possess recordings of Combs advising a bandmate of another woman who has accused him of sexual assault, suggesting that she need not worry if she agreed to support him.
