A little kitten was rescued when it was lying prostrate on a sidewalk and wouldn’t move. He was treated by a veterinarian who detected several illnesses, including an infection in his leg. He is now out of danger.
In Texas, a postal worker one day saw a little kitten on the sidewalk at the corner of a street . She stopped near him to take photos in order to post them on social networks , so that kind souls could come and identify him and, if necessary, help him.
The next day, same path, same road and same little kitten , which had not moved. There, the postwoman decides to immediately contact Coastal Bend Cat Rescuers , in order to come and “pick up” this little kitten named Thor .
“ He looked like he had completely given up ,” Lindsay Haglund reports to The Dodo . Lindsay is none other than the Foster Coordinator at Coastal Bend Cat Rescuers . “ This kitten was dehydrated, anemic, infested with fleas, weak, tired and had mange. He appeared to be suffering from heat exhaustion. » A certain Nadia , an employee of the home, had no trouble lifting Thor to transport him .
A leg infection
One of his colleagues, Mike , placed Thor in the passenger seat of the vehicle . Since then, he and Nadia have taken care of the kitten, aged 6 weeks. Day after day, he gets back on track. A veterinarian diagnosed him with a leg infection , which explained his past lethargy and inability to move. The kitten was put on antibiotics and is gradually gaining weight.
“ Thor is adorable. He always meows and doesn’t hesitate to greet his adoptive mother and father when they enter the room. He just wants to be pampered and cuddled ,” says Lindsay . For now, he remains under observation and convalescing . Then, the kitten will be put back on the market to be adopted.
