Miley Cyrus Takes Charge of Family Game Nights, Says Sister Brandi Cyrus
Miley Cyrus may be known for breaking the rules, but according to her sister Brandi, she’s also the one who makes them! In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE at the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards on March 17, Brandi, 37, shared that Miley, 32, is the one in charge during the Cyrus family’s game nights.
“Something we love to do that’s probably unexpected is play cards,” Brandi revealed, mentioning the family’s go-to game, Uno. “It’s so silly. We love it. It’s a classic.” The family often enjoys these game nights during the holidays, and though Brandi didn’t specify who participates, she did mention that it typically includes their dad Billy Ray, mom Tish, and their siblings.
When asked about the controversial Uno rule of placing a Draw 2 card on top of another Draw 2, Brandi quickly replied, “You got to ask Miley Cyrus because she makes the rules.” However, Brandi admitted that the rules often change from game to game. “I can’t even keep up,” she joked. “One time the answer is yes, but the next time it might be no. Miley is definitely the one in charge.”
Brandi, who was at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, also shared some exciting news: she will be DJing at country star Kenny Chesney’s Las Vegas residency at The Sphere this May and June. “THE SPHERE!!! A once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I’m SOOO thrilled to be joining @kennychesney for all 15 shows of his iconic residency!” Brandi posted on Instagram, expressing her excitement for the opportunity.
In addition to DJing, Brandi regularly plays sets in Las Vegas, including at The Wynn. She also co-hosts the Sorry We’re Stoned podcast with her mother, Tish, where they offer an inside look at their family’s Hollywood adventures. Brandi previously shared how her relationship with Tish has evolved over the years, stating, “We started to have more of a friendship dynamic, like we do now. And with this podcast, we control it and don’t have to answer to anybody.”
Tish expressed her pride in her children, saying, “I couldn’t be more proud of my kids—every single one of them.” She added, “I look at Brandi and think, ‘I made that!’ And Miley and I have such a beautiful working relationship and a mother-daughter relationship.”
