DETROIT — The Detroit Tigers have made a bold statement in the 2025 MLB season, becoming the first team to reach 50 wins following an 11–4 victory over the Oakland Athletics on June 24 at Comerica Park.

With a current record of 50–31, the Tigers lead the American League Central by 5.5 games, signaling a strong push toward postseason contention. Starter Tarik Skubal earned his 50th career win, anchoring a performance backed by home runs from Kerry Carpenter and Dillon Dingler, and a potent lineup that continues to deliver.

“We’re clicking in all phases — offense, pitching, and defense,” said Tigers manager A.J. Hinch. “But there’s still a lot of season left, and we’re staying locked in.”

Detroit currently ranks top 10 in both team ERA and runs scored, a testament to their balanced roster and strategic depth. The club’s bullpen, led by closer Alex Lange, has also been a key factor in preserving tight games during their mid-season surge.
