Donald Trump Ridiculed for Claiming “Most People Don’t Know What a Phone App Is” During Wisconsin Speech.ngocchau

Donald Trump’s latest rally gaffe has sparked a wave of criticism, with detractors labeling it a “senile senior moment.”

During his Wisconsin rally on Saturday, Trump blasted the Biden administration’s border policy as a “betrayal” to Americans and made an odd claim about migrants’ tech-savviness. “They have a phone app so the people can come into our country,” he declared to his supporters.

“These are smart immigrants, I guess, because most people don’t have any idea what the hell a phone app is.” A fan account dedicated to Kamala Harris ridiculed the comment as evidence of “how stupid and old Trump is” pointing out that at 78, Trump is firmly in the Boomer generation, reports the Express US.

“If most Americans don’t know what an app is, what does he think Twitter and TruthSocial are? ” one critic questioned. Calls for family intervention emerged, with one person saying: “His family need to intervene. Trump needs psychiatric help and America needs respite.”

The mockery continued with another quip: “Trump’s rallies have become a highlight reel of delusion and confusion-at this point, his teleprompter deserves hazard pay,”.

A Democrat supporter chimed in, suggesting Trump underestimates others: “He thinks everyone is as stupid as he is. Immigrants are much smarter than him.” Yet, not all responses were harsh; some offered a more understanding perspective.

“I disagree with Trump’s statement. Many Americans, across all age groups, are familiar with phone apps,” a commenter noted. “Let’s focus on bridging the digital divide and promoting tech literacy for all, rather than mocking individuals or groups.”

One woman, who describes herself as a “retired grandma who won’t stay silent and seeks peace,” encouraged people not to attribute it to Trump’s age. At a rally in a key Midwestern state this weekend, he seemed to finally acknowledge his defeat in the 2020 election, something he has refused to do for the last four years.

He stated: “We had a bad election. We got more votes than anybody who ever ran for office – think of it more votes than any sitting president in the history of our country – and we lost by just a little bit. Just a little bit.”

As per the election data site 270 to Win, Trump was defeated in both the electoral vote and the popular vote.
