Madison LeCroy is receiving nothing but positive support, including from her ex, after announcing that she is expecting her second child, her first with her husband Brett Randle.
During an interview with E! News, the 34-year-old Southern Charm star shared how her former boyfriend and Bravo costar, Austen Kroll, reacted to the news at the show’s season 10 reunion. “I hung out with his girlfriend [Audrey Pratt] and him afterward, and they were so happy for me,” LeCroy explained. She also mentioned that Kroll sent her a heartfelt text message, which read, “Look at how far we’ve come. Five years ago we were arguing, and now everybody’s growing up, starting families, and talking about getting married and already getting married.”
LeCroy continued, “He made me believe that he’s super happy for me, and I believe that, so I’ll take it. I told him he was going to be the guncle. I don’t think he understood what I was saying, but it’s okay. My jokes sometimes don’t land, but we’ll tell him later.”
Three weeks after announcing her pregnancy, LeCroy shared more details with Parents about how she found out the sex of her baby and her experience with her second pregnancy. LeCroy, who already has a son, Hudson, 12, from her previous marriage to Josh Hughes, revealed that she and Brett are expecting a baby girl.
“I felt like there’s no way I’m going to get a girl. It’s not going to be a perfect situation where I have the boy and the girl, but it worked out in my favor, and I’m so excited,” LeCroy said. “I have a feeling I’m going to have to work a lot harder and make more money because the clothes are just adorable!”
Earlier this month, a rep confirmed the couple is expecting their first baby together. LeCroy, who partnered with Clearblue to announce the news, shared that she was “shocked” when she found out she was pregnant.
“When Brett and I were making this plan to grow our family, I was like, ‘Okay, we’ve got to make this as easy as possible,’” she explained. “So I actually started using the Clearblue ovulation test, and I got a smiley face. Once we got the smiley face, we were like, ‘Okay, it’s go time,’ and it instantly happened.”
LeCroy admitted that she was surprised by how quickly the pregnancy occurred, adding, “I thought I had all summer long, but it happened, and I felt pretty great other than some minor headaches. But other than that, just eating all the food and enjoying myself.”
